Green Metrics and Liquid announce joint venture to advance AI-driven modular manufacturing
Green Metrics, a leader in AI-powered sustainability analytics for the built environment, and Liquid Software Corporation, a SaaS company specializing in enterprise resource planning solutions, have announced a joint venture to advance modular manufacturing. The collaboration leverages Green Metrics' BuildBlox platform and Liquid's ERP software to create a combined solution for modular housing construction, improving efficiency, cost-effectiveness and sustainability.
The BuildBlox platform, developed with support from DIGITAL's Housing Growth Innovation programme, integrates AI-driven analytics with modular construction workflows to enhance decision-making for developers and manufacturers. Combined with Liquid's ERP solutions — used in aviation, construction, logistics and distribution — the joint venture streamlines the modular construction process from design and material procurement through to project execution.
Speaking for everyone at Liquid, we are thrilled to partner with Dr. Mike Kennedy and the highly accomplished team he has assembled at Green Metrics. Their work in AI and functional LLM applications is a truly remarkable fit with our proven inventory and project management products.Ryan Malloy, Managing Director, Liquid
Our partnership with Liquid isn't just about AI and digital innovation — it's about supporting housing production from design to commissioning. After deep market analysis, we're joining forces to deliver enterprise solutions that make cutting-edge technology accessible and affordable for housing developers and builders.Dr. Mike Kennedy, President, Green Metrics
Amy Vilis, Director of Housing Growth Innovation at DIGITAL, commented on the significance of the partnership: "DIGITAL's Housing Growth Innovation Program is driving the development and adoption of technology-enabled solutions that aim to accelerate housing production within British Columbia. The integration of AI-driven analytics with advanced ERP tools stands to equip the modular construction industry with needed resources to build more affordable, efficient and sustainable housing for our communities."
The joint venture launched with a series of pilot projects demonstrating the combined platform in real-world modular manufacturing. These initiatives focus on key industry challenges, including reducing material waste, optimizing supply chains and enhancing design flexibility for sustainable housing.
